The movie RUSHED premiered in Red Bank at the Basie Center Cinemas. Rumson’s own Siobhan Fallon Hogan wrote, produced, and starred in this suspenseful film which addresses the important and timely issue of fraternity hazing rituals.

The movie focuses on the emotional issues experienced by a suburban mother who must deal with the aftermath of her son’s tragic fraternity hazing.

A festive party of friends and supporters gathered at Dublin House before the premiere, eagerly awaiting the red-carpet rollout of the movie. Once inside the theater, the upbeat crowd transformed into a silent one, sitting at the edge of their seats as they watched a broken-hearted mother seek revenge for her son after receiving only hollow promises from officials. Given Fallon Hogan’s comedy background at SNL and in numerous movies and sit-coms, there are some lighter moments, but mostly, Fallon Hogan delivers a believable, intense dramatic performance.

Much of RUSHED was filmed in Monmouth County, and viewers are sure to recognize the area and even some local residents who appear in it. RUSHED can be viewed on Amazon, AppleTV, iTunes, vudu and other services.
