A long-time Monmouth County resident, he has made a career of helping people either find the perfect home or sell their current home.

He has earned the New Jersey Realtors Circle of Excellence Sales Award every year since starting in business in 2008, and prides himself on having both the respect of his clients and peers in the industry. Meet realtor Christian Giamanco.

What I do: I’m a full-time real estate agent/team leader with eXp Realty. I help families buy or sell a home or rent or lease a home. On the buy side, I help them find the right house and area that meets their specific wants and needs for the best possible price. On the sell side I handle everything from taking pictures, to obtaining a strong qualified buyer, to navigating the inspections, obtaining the certificate of occupancy from the town, all while getting the best possible price. Basically, I see the deal through from start to finish. The same process goes with either renting or leasing a home.

Why I chose real estate for my career: I love to help people! Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions people will make in their lifetime. The fact that I can be part of that and help them with that process is very special to me. I’ve met so many wonderful people throughout my career and have built some really special relationships. It’s an honor and it truly puts a smile on my face knowing that they trusted me to help them with such a big decision.

My family: My wife, Pamela, and I will be married for 25 years this November. We have three children: twin 21-year-old girls Ava and Sofia, and a 20-year-old son Maximillian (Max). We also have a 5-year-old boxer Chloe. Our family has lived in Shrewsbury for eight years and before that for 25 years in Holmdel. We love Monmouth County.

What sets me apart from others doing what I do: My love for people. I don’t just do this for the money. I do it because I love to help people. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who do this just for the money and it shows. Out of 15,000+ agents in Monmouth and Ocean County in 2021 I was ranked #10. I say that not to brag, but because I’m proud. I’m proud because most of my business is from referrals. I put a lot of time and effort into what I do and I realize that none of these achievements would be possible if it weren’t for my clients!

The most challenging part of what I do: Managing client’s expectations especially in today’s market. Today’s real estate market is extremely challenging for buyers. There’s very little inventory and whatever does become available–there are 10 other buyers interested in the same house. I love to help people, but in this particular market a lot of buyers aren’t getting what they want and it’s challenging. The flip side to that is, it’s definitely a seller’s market.

Best life tip to share: My model has always been to be honest and be hands-on for clients from beginning to end. I want them to feel comfortable to call me anytime with any questions. The more comfortable they are with me the more comfortable they will be with the process. There have been a lot of times when I’ve had a client love a house but for all the wrong reasons. My job is to point out all the positives and negatives. It would be very easy for me to just agree with them, but like I said before, it’s not just about the money for me. It’s about me helping buyers make the right decision for them and their family.

Biggest influence on my life: My father. My dad had a very successful business on Wall Street where I worked for more than 15 years. Nothing was ever handed to me. I had to go through the trenches like everyone else did. There was no special treatment just because I was the boss’s son. He taught me to work hard. He taught me that nothing is easy in life and nothing is going to be handed to you.

What I do when I’m not working: I love spending time with my family. I’m a big sports fan. I love to play golf. Both of my daughters play Division 1 soccer at their colleges so my wife and I love to travel and watch them play. Honestly, I live for my family. Nothing makes me happier than being with them. All of my kids are in college now so my wife and I get to spend a lot of time together, which I enjoy very much.
